Unfortunately if you are using any browser powered by iOS, those devices (iPhone, iPad) do not offer an option for an HTML based video player to go full-screen. Apple is insisting on that function remaining reserved for the native iOS video player.

By default all full-screen functionality is handled through the native video player in iOS, however, you can turn this off to force vooPlayer to "mock-up" fullscreen experience by disabling the native player from your application settings.

vooPlayer offers you two options when it comes to handling this.

  1. vooPlayer iOS full-screen (optional)

This will style the player so it looks like it's in full-screen mode with the vooPlayer player. This styling option is delicate and prone to running into conflicts with your site's theme, plugins, or other aspects of the page.

PRO:  All vooPlayer features will continue to work.
CON:  Some conflicts with Wordpress themes and plugins may occur, or even other aspects of non-Wordpress pages, causing the viewer to have to click the video twice to play the video in addition to other random issues.
  2. Native iOS full-scren (default)

This is the default setting.  With this setting vooPlayer will relinquish control of the full-screen over to iOS and the native video player will be used. This brings the video in to the actual full-screen mode and ensures that no display or playback issues occur. However, by doing this all vooPlayer features will be disabled while the player is in full-screen mode.

PRO:  No display or playback issues.
CON:  vooPlayer features will not appear

How do I activate the vooPlayer iOS full-screen?

If your main concern is that vooPlayer marketing features appear above all else, you may elect to disable the iOS native fullscreen.  This is currently a BETA feature which can be accessed by activating the BETA features menu found at the bottom of your player settings.

When should I use the Native iOS option?

In many cases there be no conflicts with the vooPlayer iOS full-screen. However if the vooPlayer full-screen option is being used and there are obvious styling conflicts, we recommend activating the iOS native full screen feature.

If you have used vooPlayer features in the video which are critical, for example using any of the various video gate features we offer, then iOS Native full-screen option should probably be avoided.

Keep in mind that if neither of the options satisfy your requirements, you can always completely disable the full-screen control option.
